چکیده

Salvia limbata is of great importance to the pharmaceutical industry owing its various biological effects. Therefore, it important investigate main factors that affect essential oil composition. Although some investigations have been performed with regard phytochemistry S. limbata, this study investigates, for first time, effect growth stage and altitude on content chemical composition extracted from limbata. For purpose, was 45 air-dried samples by hydrodistillation analyzed GC–MS GC–flame methods. The highest obtained aerial parts in vegetative at an 1500 m (0.86% v/w). Our findings show optimal harvest time extract while monoterpenes (including ?-pinene ?-pinene) could be same phenological 2000 m. By contrast, sesquiterpenes increased values ripening 2500 results help find conditions obtain oil, but additional studies are warranted.

Gene expression and activity of phenyl alanine amonialyase and essential oil composition of Ocimum basilicum L. at different growth stages

Phenylalanine amonia-lyase (PAL) is one of the most important enzymes that plays a key role in regulationof phenylpropanoid production in plants. It catalyzes the first step of the phenylpropanoid pathway in whichL-phenylalanine is deaminated to trans-cinnamic acid. This step is significant for metabolic engineering andhyper-expression of the major phenylpropanoid, methyl chav...

Essential Oil Content and Composition of Lemon Verbena (Lippia citriodora Kunth.) during Different Phenological Stages

In this study, aerial parts of Lippia citriodora Kunth were harvested at three phenological stages (i.e. vegetative, full flowering and fruit set). The essential oil isolated by hydro distillation for 3 h using a Clevenger-type apparatus and the oil was analyzed by GC and GC-MS. The yields of oils (w/w%) in different stages was in the order of: full flowering (0.9%), vegetative (0.48%) and frui...
